  Notes	[From "The Barters of Avondale"] Mr Earnest Graham in his book "Genealogy of Northrups, Barters and Bensons in Springfield, N.B." says that the Barters, Bensons and Northrups of Bellisle Creek were married and intermarried. Belleisle Creek is a hamlet between Springfield and Sussex in Kings County. He goes on to say that Mary NORTHRUP was the eldest daugher of Eli NORTHRUP and Nancy MILLS; she married Thomas Barter of Greenwich Parish. They lived for a number of years on the banks of the Saint John River.
