  Notes	[From "The Barters of Avondale"] John Mills Barter went to Arizona for his health and remained there from about 1932 to 1957. He was in the auto parts business in both Phoenix and Globe. His econd wife is the daughter of a Mr. Rupkey who was an indian trader on the San Carlos Apache Reservation near Globe. John died in North Vancouver while on holiday with his parents and is buried in the Pleasant View Cemetery in West Vancouver. His two sons live in Phoenix. His grandson, Michael Keith, is the last in his generation of New Brunswick Barters to bear the name.
