Windsor H. ?Win? Phelps; 85, passed away after a brief illness in Panama City, Florida on April 5, 2012.

?Win,? as we all knew him was born on June 12, 1926, he was the son of the late Dr. Olney Draper and Louise Phelps of Worcester, Massachusetts.

Win briefly attended Northfield Mount Hermon before he enlisted in the Navy during WWII and served as a Navy Personnel Specialist on the USS Hilbert from 1943-1946.

For about 30 years, Win worked in the sales department of W.R. Grace and helped shape the department of what was then a start up corporation.

After Win retired from W.R. Grace, he traveled extensively and eventually moved to the Panama City area six years ago. Win became an active volunteer and board member for the Widowed Persons Service and Panhandle Single Christians.

Predeceased by wives Patricia Wills and Eileen Hawkins, he leaves his partner of 11 years Lanell Smith, his sister Mary Louise Randall of Auburn, Mass, children Leslie Salmon of Litchfield and Cory Phelps of Manchester, New Hampshire, his grandchildren Stacey Phelps, Nicole Moore, and Ryan Phelps and two great-grandchildren Kayla and Corrine Phelps.

Win was proud of his family, and we all miss his caring and gracious nature.

Memorial Services will be held at the Nashua Elks on Daniel Webster Highway on Friday, April 27, at 6:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Win?s name to The American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr. Suite 110 Bedford, NH 03110.
