Joshua Ells was a Cornwallis Grantee. According to "Eaton's History of Kings County" the progenitor of this family in America was John Eells, who was made freeman at Dorchester, MA May 14, 1634. ELLS, Joshua..His will, made on January 1 1780, mentions his sons Joshua, Samuel, Jediah, and Daniel, as well as his daughters Anna, HAnnah, MAry, Abigail, Elizabeth, and Experience.

She married Daniel* Huntley in Cornwallis, Kings Co., Nova Scotia, December 3, 1772. Daniel* was born in Lyme, CT October 13, 1748. Daniel* was the son of Daniel Huntley and Susannah* Beckwith. Daniel* died ABT. 7 JUN 1803 in Horton, Kings Co., Nova Scotia. (See Daniel* Huntley for the children resulting from this marriage.) First wife of Daniel Huntley, my 5th great grandfather
If Sarah Ells had any children with Daniel Huntley, they would have been 1/2 siblings to Edith Blanche Thorpe. Edith descends from the Ells Family, if Edith had been child of Sarah (first wife of Daniel) she would have been blood related to her husband Orman Weston Huntley, but this was not the case.
