ELIZABETH GILLAME 1624 He was in Frittenden as his stillborn child was buried there. 1626 Was living in Biddenden where his unbaptized child was buried on September 22nd. 1632 ELIZABETH wife of PETER with their unbaptized daughter was buried in Halden on August 9th (BishopÙs transcripts of Halden 1623-1637) 1633 He married Mildred. 1634 Thomas son of PETER and Mildred Branch was baptized on August 26th. 1637 Peter son of PETER and Mildred was baptized on August 29th and buried on October 3rd. Mildred died and was buried on September 20th at Halden. It appears that PETER was somewhat of a rover having lived within a brief period at Nettlestead,Frittenden,Biddenden and Halden.He was a carpenter who set sail for America in 1638 after his second wife Mildred died in 1637. He had his son JOHN age 10 with him on board the Castle which was one of eight ships that left England in great haste as the Government was making noises about stopping emigration. PETER died at sea in 1638 and his son JOHN was left to be raised by his good friend Thomas Wilborne until age 21. They landed at Scituate,Ma in 1638 and Thomas was a saddler so he taught JOHN his trade. 1628 JOHN Born at High Holden,Kent,Eng. 1638 Arrived in America on the CASTLE in the care of Thomas Wilborne 1643 He moved to Duxbury,Ma and several years later to Marshfield,Ma where he purchased and named Branch Island 1652 On Dec. 6th he married MARY SPEED at Marshfield,Ma. She was from the family of the English Historian 1699 JOHN made his will at Marshfield,Ma on July 6th 1711 Died on May 7th in Marshfield,Ma.
