      Obediah was from Courtland Manor, NY; and served in the Westchester Loyalist during the Rev. War. He was in NY city during War and came to NB with the Loyalist, first at Westmorland Co, NB, and post 1786 at Hampstead, Queens Co, NB.

      Three brothers - Obadiah, James and Oliver, came as Loyalist. Their mother, Catherine [---] d. at Grimross, Queens Co., NB, at the home of her son Oliver, on 16 Dec 1824, aged 92 yrs 7 mos, leaving 155 descendants.
