      1622-26: John Huntley, born at Scotland, Great Britain.
      1647, July: He came to Boston, Massachusetts Bay Colony.
      1647, July 12: John Huntley, the immigrant, was in Boston, Massachusetts when he signed as witness for a Power-of-Attorney for Thomas Bayes.
      1648, May 1: He and John Pease were associated in connection with a cargo of fish, shipped to Barbados in the Welcome. He has not been connected with any Huntley family in England.

      1665, July 10: " John Huntley one the midell of Wolfe Orland, tow ackere of medow, bounded every way with water. He hath also laid out to him a home lott continuing forty three ackers and halfe of upland bounded west on the highway; north Ballshazzer De Wolfe's land; south upon William Faller's land; east upon the Common, Laying both sides of Duck River with one dwelling house. Also three ackers and halfe of medow laying at the head of Duck River, bounded on the medow of Mr Measuer north on e the swamp of Balthishier De Wolfe and west with his own land"

      1671, March 12 to 1665, February 13: He took part in the New London-Lyme riot when the two towns, forgetting their "Loving Parting" of February 13, 1665, fought over their boundaries with sticks.

      1674, March 11: John Huntley was given the ear marks for his cattle being "one halfe pene out the underside of each and a little one the off ear".

      1679, July 1: John Huntley was married at this time. The evidence is a deposition made by John Pease at Boston, Massachusetts, when Pease was 6$ years old. "29 or 30 years ago, Mr. Hanniford, Mariner, lived in Boston. . . and John Huntley. . . paid the said Hanniford rent for the same and said Huntley" a wife died there of small-pox."

      1676, November 16: John Huntley made his will in Lyme, and may have died the same day. Aaron Huntley and John's "dear and beloved wife" were executors. The widow received the dwelling and one third of the estate during her life. At her death, Aaron received "all the lands and meadow of mine in the Town of Lyme (he) paying unto each of my children on his possessing of the lands, £10 a peece . . . " Each child, except Aaron, also received £10 from the estate and Aaron received five "toward the building of his house". It seems that Aaron was to look after the widow, his stepmother, and receive the bulk of the estate in return.

    • 1669, June 30: John Huntley married Mary Bames, daughter of John and Alice (Gransden) Hand of Long Island, New York at New London, Connecticut. Mary (Hand) Barnes was the divorced wife of Charles Barnes, who had abandoned his wife and returned to England. Commissioner Thomas Minor of Stonington noted in his diary "The fouerth moneth is June and hath 30 day. Tuesday the first the day the Court (at New London) began, that court married Huntley and Marie Barons." They had children: 1) Sarah, born 1699ca; 2) Alice, born 1673ca; married (probably) Beriah Dayton; died, February 21, 1754 at East Hampton, Long Island, New York.
