Princess Annie Louise Hudson was born about May 12, 1902 in Annapolis County, Nova Scotia. There is considerable variation in her date of birth based on various records. Her marriage certificate suggests a 1900 birth year (age 19); the 1920 census, a 1901 birth year (age 18); her son's birth certificate a 1902 birth year (age 19), and her death certificate a 1903 birth year (age 26).
She was named Princess, as the story goes, because she was a very beautiful child.
She emigrated to America about 1918 and lived in the Boston area. She married Ernest William STEADMAN in 1919. They had their only child in 1921. After their marriage she worked as a dressmaker.
She died of Tuberculosis in 1929 and is buried in Prine Grove Cemetery in Lynn, Massachusetts.
