      James carnwath died at his residence Riverside (Albert Co.) 2nd inst., from an affection of the brain. He was a native of Straban, Tyrone County, Ireland and came to Albert Co. some 36 years ago. Up to about 16 years ago, he was engaged in teaching and various mercantile pursuits after which he succeeded Hon. A.R. McClelan in the business carried on by him at Riverside. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and took an active interest in the erection of the new church at Riverside, being chairman of the building committee. He was in his 62nd year and leaves a widow and large family of children.
