Thelma G. Widbur
Thelma G. Widbur MIRAMICHI, NB - Thelma Grace Widbur, widow of the late Gordon Widbur, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Wednesday evening, December 5, 2007. Born in the comminity of Riverside Albert, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Myles and Letitia (Alexander) Munson. She was a homemaker and a devoted member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi; a member of the Princess Street Unit, of the U.C.W.; a member of the Silver Link Rebecca Lodge, Miramichi. She was a former employee of both the W.S. Loggie Co. Ltd., as well as Brennan's Jewelers Ltd. She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Robinson, of Ottawa, Ont. and Linda Widbur (Gene), of Las Cruces, New Mexico; one son, Allison Widbur, of Shelburn, Ont.; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Carey, Mark and Tania; five great grandchildren, Quinn, Logan, Benjamin, Emily and Crystal: as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon, in 1981; one daughter in law, Gail Widbur; one son in law, Paul Robinson; two sisters, Eileen Stratton and Julia Munson; four brothers, Arnold, Lloyd, Russell and Rev. J.E. Munson. By her request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A public memorial service will be held from St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi, at a later date and time to be announced. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Andrews United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society, would be appreciated by the family.
